Benefits of viynl wrap

Choose your color

If you're feeling the need to give your vehicle a fresh new look, changing the color is a great option.

Instead of considering costly and permanent paint jobs, vinyl film offers a versatile and affordable alternative. A paint job would be great, but if you want to change the color down the road, or want to go back to the original color, vinyl film is the way to go.

The color choices are endless from the different brands that are available on the market. You can choose from glossy colors, to matte finishes, to fun patterns.

Protect your paint

The primary goal of vinyl wrap is to change the color of your vehicle. But since you are putting a film over the paint, it does add a layer of protection from the debris, bugs, or the weahter. It’s not as strong as paint protection film (PPF), but it’s much more durable than even the strongest ceramic coatings.

So it’s a nice in-between an aesthetics upgrade and protecting your paint. And if you want, you can also get the vinyl film coated for even more gloss.

Temporary color change

It’s not permanent! Paint jobs are great and the finish is amazing, but only if it’s done right (which means it usually costs a lot). If the body shop doesn’t do a good job and doesn’t give you a flawless finish, then you have to spend more time and money getting it fixed. Whereas with vinyl wrapping, you can get it wrapped, leave it on for a year, and take it off with no problems (assuming it’s taken care of throughout that time). Then if you’d like a different color or pattern, you can simply get it installed with no damage or alternation to your current paint job.

be careful of who wraps your car

Vinyl wrap is a great options for everything we listed above. But it can also turn into a nightmare if you have an inexperienced and unprofessional installer doing the work.

A wrap installation should be clean, with great coverage on all panels, and most importantly, no cuts in the paint.

If your car gets wrapped by someone inexperienced, aside from the wrap job coming out ugly, you might find cuts on your paint from vinyl installer.

We see this all the time. You might not notice it when the wrap is on, but when you take it off, you’ll be very upset (as you should!).

We’ve seen cuts on the rubber seals, trim, and of course, all across the paintwork.

Vinyl Wrap Options

These are some of the options we have for vinyl wrapping. If you have something specific in mind, please reach out to us and send photos so we can get a better idea of what your end goal is.

Full wrap

As it sounds, this is when we wrap your entire vehicle. This is the most dramatic difference because you can change it whatever color you’d like. You can go white to green, black to yellow, or gray to pink.

Hood/Roof/trunk

Sometimes you just want to give the car a simple upgrade so you get the hood, roof, or trunk lid wrapped. It can just one or all three (totally up to you).

Top Half

Many cars now have the “top half” wrapped. A few examples are the Toyota Camry, Acura RDX, or the Range Rovers. This is when the A/B/C pillars and the roof are wrapped is (usually) gloss black.

chrome delete

Tired of seeing chrome on your car or want to go for a more stealth look? Getting the chrome wrapped is a great upgrade for better aesthetics. Every car has a varying level of chrome. So what you want is based on your vehicle and end look you’re going for.

Vinyl Wrap faqs

how long does it take to install viynl wrap?

It depends on what you want to get wrapped. If you just wanted to get your hood and roof done, that can be done in a few hours. If you want your entire vehicle wrapped, that can take 2 to 5 days.

do you disassemble the vehicle to wrap it?

Yes, for the best wrap coverage, some panels have to be disassembled like the front bumper, headlights, door panels, and so on. This is going to change based on your vehicle and what you’re getting wrapped. But for a proper install, you’d want to disassemble panels.

how long does vinyl last?

Like anything else, if you take care of it, it lasts much longer than intended. And if you don’t take care of it, it’ll fail much sooner than it should. So 1 to 3 years is reasonable based on how you take care of the film and vehicle.

how much does the vinyl job cost?

For just the hood, it can cost $300. For an entire vehicle it can range between $2,500 to $6,000 (depending on the size, complexity, and film choice).

what films do you use?

We use a variety of brands like 3M, Cheetah, Avery, KPMF, This is also dependent on the specific color you want. For instance, maybe you’ve seen all the brands and there’s one specific color you want that’s only available from a specific brand.
